The core difference lies in their focus. Cyber Essentials is a technical, IT-focused certification covering foundational security controls that protect organisations and the data they handle against common cyber-attacks. ISO 9001 is a separate, management-focused certification concerned with internal process consistency. When sharing sensitive data with a supplier, ISO 9001 speaks to operational frameworks, whereas Cyber Essentials is the certification that directly governs how that data is kept secure, making it a crucial certification when evaluating a supplier’s data protection practices.

Our Cyber Essentials certification means our systems and processes have been independently assessed against this standard, giving clients confidence that their data is handled securely and responsibly by a recognised and trusted supplier.
